Making a SK twink, need help!?!? :D
 

So I decided to make a Troll SK.

In all my years of playing EQ this is the one class I have no experience with.

I got a fungi, cof, and a bunch of +hp jewelry... but not sure what I should get him for weapons and armor?

I was thinking Ebon Mace (for 1h) and something like an Exquisite Velium War Lance (for 2h)... not going to lie, I love the look of the oversized velious lance on a the troll model. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Is it really worth it to dump a small fortune on a Massive Dragonclaw Shard + Narandi Lance? I didn't think it would make enough of a difference to be worth spending that much plat on an SK twink... at least not until I am 55+ anyways.

And as far as armor, are there any cultural armor or similar for a Troll SK? Any other suggestions? Fashionquest is a serious consideration here! :P

I personally like human, but if I had to re-roll it most likely be a DE for looks or Iksars for that regen over troll. Plus Iksars get Greenmist and the rest of that weapon quest line.

I wish they had more quests like this for other races for shadowknights. Feels like you accomplish small feats of skill for your class as you level, rather than just generic quests, camps or grinds.

If you're worried about fashionquest and youre already twinked to the teeth go Erudite

Keep in mind piercing skill cap is lower than Slashing/Blunt, so unless you can get a Piercer that's better than Slashing or Blunt weapons of the same type/ ratio, I'd recommend not using a Piercing Weapon, especially if you're a minmax type of player.

human definitely looks awesome as fuck as an SK

thurg armor would probably be the way to go - cheap as dirt to MQ

10 dmg weapon up to 10, a 14 dmg weapon up to 19 and a juicy 30 damage 2hander up to 29 after which you can use whatever you want. Damage caps suck. Don't go 1h past 20. Be a man, do damage, use a 2hander.
