AC, Str, Resists, or Other for a Monk?
 

I am a level 51 Iksar monk and have reasonable weapons, haste, and weight reduction. The rest of my gear isn't great. I have been thinking about upgrading my gear and am thinking about how to prioritize AC, strength, and resistances.

I realize it's situational (eg, if someone else is tanking and there are no casters, then strength wins; in ToV, resists win), so let's say that the context is duoing with a shaman in an area with a mix of casters and non-casters.

Also, should I be aiming for anything else? Eg, is the Shrunken Goblin Skull Earring clicky better than the strength from a Sarnak Earring of Station?

As a 49 shaman when im duoing with a monk all i want are haste a fungi and staves of shielding on the monk lol. With slow and regen on a monk, even fungiless he only loses like 10-15% hp per kill. With fungi theres no downtime except when a full rebuff is needed. Less if he flops when he pulls back and lets pet take a round or two.

As a monk a set of resist gear, if you can afford it, is worth it's weight in gold.

Having a 600 or 900dd ice nuke get resisted or hit for partial is priceless. Resisting a slow while duoing with a shaman will keep the xp rolling in.

BD jewelry (earrings and rings +/- bracelets) to swap in when pulling or fighting casters fits the bill. This gear is also going to be exceedingly useful if you ever raid with your monk.

Shrunken Goblin Earring is approx 1000% better than sarnak ear because you can use it to absorb dispels. You'll hit max strength and dex easily when you're 60 and get even a small amount of gear, it just kind of happens automatically. focus on sta until capped, +hp, resists, stuff like that. even if they're less important those stats are harder to get. farming a fungi tunic, a good weapon, and getting your epic should be the real priorities tho.

strength is by far the worst stat you listed, i wouldn't even concern myself with it
