Is it worth coming back?
 

Just recently found out about p99, and like the title says, I'm curious if its worth coming back to the game. I've been looking for a new mmo to get into, and I have a lot of fond memories of the game; especially the social aspect. I had a max level pally with epic in classic EQ (stopped playing after Luclin expansion).

Absolutely! I started on this server about five or six years ago and I am constantly finding myself returning from time to time. I don't do any hardcore raiding but I just love leveling up, the social aspect is a lot like it was back in the day. You'll feel great when you go into EC and see the zone filled with a hundred people again hah. It's a lot of fun. I have actually been considering making a new character so if you decide to hop on, let me know what you make and I might join you if that's alright.

Did the hardcore raiding part on live. Now I am doing all the stuff I didn't do last time around. Exploring zones I never levelled in, playing different classes. There really is a lot this game has to offer beyond raiding. Been in full nostalgia mode ever since I started here.

raiding here is toxic as fuck, but the rest is pretty good.

I love it here. Absolutely recaptures the classic eq feel.

People have some complaints about the top end raiding scene, but if you are a person who has obligations outside of playing eq you probably won't get there for years anyway (if ever).

For sure! Plenty of peeps to group with on blue server and Easy to get started with dirt cheap price on Kunark gears. Red server's population is a bit more sparse, but generally no issues forming groups during prime time and the sleeper has not been woken on red, so if you raid there's that ^^ While dual boxing is not permitted, you are allowed to play one character on each server at the same time. Handy to keep in mind while LFG or trading in EC. Good luck!
