Macros for Enchanter?
Any macro specialists out there that can throw a noob some tips?
Thanks in advance. |
I cant think of any macros I use that often, however there are 3 keybinds that I would be very annoyed not to have.
Toggle Last two targets = ` Toggle Target and Myself = Alt ` Cycle through nearest npcs = tab if you learn how to use these as an enchanter you will be ahead of the game, especially when soloing in a dungeon. Edit: pretty sure none of these are classic. |
Learn to do things manually. May seem like a pain but it is ultimately going to give you a more fine tuned control over the situation, and it's more fun if you actually enjoy the class.
Kinda like driving stick vs automatic! :D There is one hotkey that will be your best friend though. /rt. what this does is targets the last person that sent you a tell. It is a godsend for buffing. |

edit: you can also add, /rt /guildstatus just so you know you arent buffing bda or something |

While I don't disagree with the sentiment, I figured there were just some known macros out there that were common to use to make things more efficient. |
Only one I use is for sending my pet in to assist.
Goes something like this: /pet back /assist playername /pet attack /attack off Don't remember the details exactly. Nice to have a one button press for sending in charmed pet so you can focus on crowd control after that. |
/assist off will make your /assist not autoattack in general - then you can save that last line in your macro - one line saved is a line gained!
|
/pet back off
/pause 1 /pet attack This is a common hotkey I use when charming. Basically if your pet is forced to fight two and you don't want to bother rooting or mezzing, but you still want your pet to Focus down 1 mob to kill it, but for various reasons he keeps breaking off to attack a different mob, this hotkey is useful to focus their attack |
/pet back
/pet follow /pet back /pet back /pet follow All as one key. Makes sure that Fucker stays in line. /ass *main assist name here* And then hit your cycle npc button *twice* to target the next mob so that you can mez it. Make every hotbuttom 1-8 as a spell button. I forget the syntax I use but it's something like... /stand /cast 1 /pause .3 /cast 1 This way if you fizzle and don't notice it will just cast for you. /pause .3 is not universal, different casting times will use different pause times because they take longer to fizzle. Ench master race. |
personally hate pet hotkeys like this because they wont work if you are in the middle of casting something. One of the reasons why i go all manual. Whatever floats the boat though :D
