Why is it that male athletes aren't allowed to use steroids under the pretense of them being "performance enhancing"? Not just sports people, but MMA, power lifters, bodybuilders, chess masters, and olympians.

Why aren't women in beauty pageants banned for wearing makeup, taking diet pills, and having plastic surgery? Are these not more performance enhancing? Using steroids doesn't make you big. Using steroids allows you to put on more muscle than you naturally could but only if you work out more.

This is a glaring sexist double standard that we as a society of civilized individuals need to address.

Here's a visual example for the educationally disenfranchised who may not be sufficiently literate:

Notice the significant difference women benefit from, whereas men using steroids only get about a 15% increase in muscle mass and strength from steroids.

If you want to get more political.

You could have pointed out the fact that testosterone is a Schedule 3 controlled substance.

Possession of a testicle is a felony. Testosterone itself is scheduled. Fact.

Possession of testosterone is treated the same as possession of narcotics.

Joe Biden sponsored and passed this legislation making testosterone illegal in 1990 while testifying before Congress that people who were using steroids were the reason he couldn't play football in high school. He cried in front of 300 people. Fact.

srsly.

The American Medical Association, the Food Drug Administration, and the Drug Enforcement Agency all testified before Congress that scheduling testosterone itself made very very little sense from an abuse perspective as the drugs weren't scientifically proven to have any dangerous potential. Not to mention scheduling the male sex hormone itself is kinda creepy and weird, science aside.

Sure ban 99% of non-natural steroids if you want, I guess. Banning testosterone was just really bizarre.

Congress ignored all 3 government agencies reports and testimony and instead went for the political points with Joey "Bag-o-Bones" Biden (his highschool nickname).

Whats up tyranny by a minority holler at me!

Saw Palmetto allegedly is a good natural substitute for steroids
