Hello guys, Some of u may or may not remember me but i played a mage on the Povar server back around the pop era and i was in a few guilds called, Dark Legion and Stoic.

Decided to play on P1999 and i cant make up my mind on which class to play. After having played a mage on live and going through there tough as hell epic 1.0 quest i can honestly say i dont want to do that again. Im looking for a class that can farm, be it items or plat and can level solo and be useful on teams.

mage, necro, druid, shaman, enchanter, bard.. those are mostly those who can both solo, farm and be in groups, various places for the various classes ofc. chanter being able to solo most id say.

Chanter really? I guess theres a huge diffrent from classic EQ to the POP era :)

Take the ranger for instance. Classic the class is fine, it can even main tank in a pinch for xp , not as effective as a tank but still it can.

Kunark come out and noone wants aranger in the group becuase the just get demolished and have no way to control there agro secept basicly sitting outthe fight for a good 3 months until jolt arives.


sov give the rangers better bows and they are once again wanted in raids(namely one) for there bow damage.


you can see this with any class in game save a cleric.... For them in classic they are wanted but not required for xp.After kunark, you wont think of going anywhere w/o one .

I was on Povar as well in Dark Legion name was Sunada, Not sure if I was still with them during PoP Era been to long but I was in Forces Unknown at that time for sure, We have a few folks that was in DL in our guild on this server so maybe you will remember Poonose just send me a tell some time character name is Reppy.
