Bard Kiting Help
 

I recently started Everquest and I'm having the hardest time getting AoE Kiting correct with my bard. I've watched every video and read every guide I could find. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

I'm making sure I can see the mobs in the corner of my screen and make circles (with auto run and strafing) while being close enough for my DoT to hit them but I still end up getting hit. Is it because I'm level 5? It seems you can do it at any level as long as you're competent enough to not get hit, which I don't seem to be.

Before I did try strafing and moving in a circle by using my mouse to drag the camera but it would just end up with me doing a 180 and running into the mobs after a shot freeze.

Someone should be able to answer this. Ive never played a Bard, lemme hear what my Bard friend has to say about this and come back to you.

Bards generally only do swarm-kiting on specific types of mobs because of hitbox size. Generally you want a) slower mobs, b) mobs with the same run-speed, and c) mobs with the same size hitbox.
