If they polished the combat system and abilities design of EQ2 I would play the fuck out of it. The "combat revamp" they did a few years back was underwhelmingly shit.

Great game otherwise, definitely had a feel to the world. I'm a Vanguard guy though, I don't need the glossy looks and over-design of EQ2. I still dream about that 1 golden year of VG when population was peaked.

i played Vanguard to level cap at release, got bored, resubbed about 6 months later and the only group of raider people I still knew had all moved into a large house together and played Vanguard full time in a sweat locker. That game had more lunatics per capita than even Macequest.

I was still a lil underage back then and I remember this creepy guy and his girlfriend trying to recruit me into some kind of pedo swinger arrangement. They also talked about doing meth on Teamspeak. Great game, great time to be alive.

Man, Vanguard. What a time to be alive.
