Enchanter Mem blur when charming?

When you have a pet charmed and the mob it's fight gets low on hp, can you just back it off, mem blur the other mob and kill it for full exp?

The way I always did it was to break the charm, root the old pet or straight nuke it, then nuke the 1st target.

This works, but it's often difficult to determine if your memblur landed. That's what always turned me off about this method, at least.

mobs that have aggro messages are easy like spectres etc, others you can see if they uptick in hp once quickly before engaging to be sure its a wipe. but what dmora said for the most part

Stand out of aggro range. Mem blur and then move to the left or right. If the mob follows you, you still have aggro.
Or just break charm.

With mem blur on some things, a /con can tell you if it worked....can't it?

Sure, unless you're KOS with the mob to begin with.

There's just nothing better than a charm break! But I understand the allure (no pun intended), especially if you're LOM and don't want to deal with recharming your pet.

you can also assist the mob you are trying to blur to see if it has a target

zing! That's good advice :)

If it's a good pet and I want to keep it, I'll calm the pet before breaking. Then break, stun, move away, and mez. Most(or all?) mezzes have a chance to blur. If mobs health regens 5% a tick it's blurred, and if not cast mem blur until it begins to regen.

I've never used assist to check, but that is definitely helpful!
