Anyone else having this issue with pet summoning?
 

I swear I can't summon a max level pet anymore. I've gone through like 3 stacks of bonechips and still haven't got one.

Im with ya i just summoned like 10 pets in a row and they were all blue to me. Im a level 8 mage using the level 8 fire elemental spell and couldnt get one white or yellow pet.

Time to go to Vegas!

I started about 2 months ago and am now level 36 necro.

I've never summoned an even con or higher pet.

Is this b0rked ?

I think that level 8 is the last level that you can summon an even con pet, after that they're blue. I think that the level 49 mage pet range is 37-42, max hit is 56 with your focus item.

12 tries this morning to get a wolf pet other than green. lucky 13 was Dark Blue, and 3 pulls later we got trained and had to evac :(

As a level 40 Necromancer using 39 pet "Malignant Dead" I NEVER get anything higher than a light blue pet. I am using SoF , so that might have something to do with the color when it is considered, but I can tell by the damage output that they are not as high level as they should be. I didn't have a necromancer on sony servers untill PoP, so I don't know how they were in classic but I remember pets mostly being dark blue, sometimes even when pet spell was new.

Yeah that was not a pleasant train :(

As a Mage at 16 I could summon a 17 or lower pet. The 17 was very very rare, but 16 was somewhat common. Once they go dark blue, you can usually judge level by damage.

Each set of pet spells seem to range lower and lower, I'm guessing when I get my 20 pets they'll max out at 20.

Many posters seem to be completely missing the actual discussion of the thread. This thread is about how, for example, the lvl 24 pet *CAN* be summoned to con even to a lvl 22, but is VERY OFTEN even con to a 19 or 20 character and thus would con light blue or green to the lvl 24 caster. This green con pet is much less durable and outputs less DPS compared to the max lvl summon pet (lvl 22) and must be resummoned.

The gripe here is that seems to taking more tries as of lately.
