Client thinks spell files are out of date.
 

Hi guys,

I am trying to get P99 to work on my mac and it's almost there. The only issue is at the character select screen I get the message about needing to update my spell files. I promise you I have the ones that are on the 'getting started' page. The folder I am using is called "P99Files40". Please help me out, I would love to get playing again.

I am getting this today too, along with invalid password. I played yesterday no problem but today I can't get logged in and when I do it gives me out of date spell files. What is going on?

Then all of a sudden it let me in? Wonder what is going on?

Log out and log back in.

Did that numerous times, rebooted and re-downloaded the P99 40 files and replaced them too. But it did let me in eventually, but I don't think it was anything I did, I think there was a server issue.

I eventually got it to work through just continually retrying the installation. Not sure what exactly fixed it...

i get the out of date message sometimes. i retry a time or two and it usually lets me back in.

oncein a great while I will get it for a second. then my characters show up anyways.

"Files out of date" is sometimes a false positive caused by connection issues (packet loss, DDoS, etc).

If there's been no patch, and you were previously up to date, it's probably just a connection issue.
