Greetings Norrath!
I just came across Project1999 on a forums page. Are people still active? i cant seem to get it installed correctly on my mac and i was wondering if i should even bother. i was an active EQ player for 11 years.

Server is still extremely active with around 1400 players or so prime-time. I can't help you much with the Mac issues, but, perhaps, someone else can.

You have three options to get your game running on a mac:
1. Use Wineskin: https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=56238 video is here: https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=56238 I guess it doesn't work if your mac is using Mavericks? 2. Use Bootcamp. Pretty self explanatory, your mac will use the windows operating system. 3. Use Crossover Games (my personal favorite when I had a mac,) though I'm not sure if there is a guide for it. Crossover Games also uses wine, but it's a simplified version. Pop looks to be booming for blue, red always seems to be in the 200-300 peak range whereas blue is well over 1k. Note #s may be off as I hardly play here. |
The population is thriving. Lots of folks at all level ranges, it's a great time to start!

No matter what that Shady Swashbuckler tells you, know that his Oasis Water is just REGULAR FREEPORT TAP with a not-even fancy label on it. The mark-up is ridiculous. Buyer beware!
