Ssh tunnel eq
At work all ports are blocked in the firewall but I have access to another server through ssh and that server has access to most ports. I have been playing MUD games for long using an ssh tunnel through this server since even telnet is blocked.
I Wonder if this can be used for eq too? Can i I change the eqemulator adress in eqhosts to localhost:5998 and then tunnel it through the server? Or do I need to set it elsewhere? |
Or you could work at work?

As someone who can't play over my local library wifi I'd be most interested in solutions to get around these restrictions <3

I do ssh tunneling at work with putty and I'm not sure how you can do this. Even if you tunnel to the login server, new connections are made to the world servers. Perhaps you need a vpn, or maybe tunnel a vpn through ssh?? Good luck

I think I manage to do it using route add in windows and route the eq adress to my wifi.
Does any know what adresses needed for playing p99 except login.eqemulator.net |
