Resisted by anything that matters practically (highs blues to even con and forget anything in a raid setting)
- was this "classic" ?

A resist still lowers your aggro.

I wanted to test if you got as much de-aggro from a resisted spell as from one that landed, but never got around to it.

Can't be - from doing Kael and NTOV resists do very little. I'd keep testing but people will stop rebuffing me!
When it doesn't get resisted in Kael it's effective ( arena clears) but don't take anything more potent than a rubber chicken in your mainland for ToV.
