Necro or Shaman?

Assuming neither has any PP to expend currently on creation of their characters.:

1) Shaman starts with Fungi, but has no torpor or JBB.

2) Necro is in full compliment of decent int gear, and has Circlet of Shadows.

Assuming both hit 60 at the same time, which would be the better choice to make platinum in the current economy? (Consdering that Torpor is nearly 250k now, shaman epic is 60k MQ, and JBB is 15k).

shaman can do harder camps that make more plat. Shaman requires a good 300k+ worth of gear/spells. I'm talking about torpor, bane of nife, epic, good resist gear, SS armor etc.

Necro can do every camp that doesn't have a summoning mob. Tools of the trade that will allow them to do harder camps are the VP staff (soulwell clicky) epic for extra dot, and the only spell that costs a decent amount of money is emis. of thule.



Leveling wise, a fungi shaman will outlevel a necro. Get a facegrinder, slow and go to town with the shaman. Twinked necro's are still limited to their spells, and can't wear a fungi.

I'd still go with a shaman, but you might need to wait a while to get your torpor.

w/ velious out necros can get brawl sticks and smack stuff along w/ their pet while fear kiting and do good damage, especially with a cheap tolapmuj robe.

Charming necro out levels shaman at 53 or 54+.

Is there anything special a shaman can do without torpor?

Torp up to 250k?

summoning mobs dont necessarily rule out necro farming it.. ive camped several camps that have summoning mobs and while it is more risky it is possible.

for example : I've solo'd some of the easier camps in sebilis. hands, pawbuster, and jail rooms in KC with some lucky solo pulling. Miniboss mobs in HS, etc.

As Oleris says, Sham. You're gonna have to drop some heavy investment but if you're wanting to grind for that pure pp shaman is your best bet
