Shardwurm Broodmother
 

I've been trying to do the Kromrif Military Leggings Quest, but discovered the Shardwurm Broodmother is never there. I assume this is because she has a long (1 day?) respawn after a turn in. Can anyone confirm the wiki as listing the right location so I at least know I am checking the right spot? Are there a lot of people waiting to to do turn-ins at this point so that perhaps I should give up on it for a while?

I remember having a hard time locate the broodmother on live with my druid even. I would routinely check, but not hold your breath until you get someone to confirm.

Well, I found the Broodmother today. She is indeed where the wiki says. HOWEVER, I'm not sure this is working properly. She pathed straight past the giant fort. When she arrived at the canyon to EW the two giants popped in front of her up on the wall of the canyon and the runner zoned out very quickly. RIP my leggings.

The wiki says the giants should pop outside the fort. As is the only way to stop the runner would be to hang out at the ZL and root immediately when it pops.

It took me 3 weeks of checking on Broodmother before i found her up. I hear the giant part bugs out sometimes, but it worked correctly for me. I remember reading somewhere that the 2 named giants in the fort need to be up when Broodmother arrives, then they despawn and new versions spawn in front of Broodmother. I can't verify the accuracy of that statement though.

Yeah, I made sure the giants were up beforehand to be safe.

I was able to repeat the quest with a helper who confirmed the two named giants were up before I did the turnin. As soon as I turned in, the two giants walk out to the front of the fort (NW corner of the fort), and they stand there until the Broodmother arrives. As soon as she does, the one starts running toward EW zone line but there was plenty of time to catch him. This was a month ago or so, before last patch.
