enter key won't work in game
 

I use my keyboard to log in to server and enter at all appropriate points. When I create a character and log him in to the game, the enter key won't work. I can move, access inventory, use hot keys, do combat, remap keys. But I can not do anything requiring the enter key to work. Cannot say, tell, reply to quest mobs. I tried a different keyboard with no change.
