How the heck do you spawn Tanik Greskil in EW (Shawl #4)
 

I got ganked by giants twice after 1 hour of walking around (THEY HIT HARD!!!), but never once did the dorf actually spawn.

What am i doing wrong? I'm a wiz

That's the one that spawns along the wall and right in that area between Kael and GD iirc you run around til you trip over him then you get a giant death squad chasing you? You turn in Vial of Velium Vapors or am I thinking about a different one?

On live, I used a pet. Put pet on guard, and it will face nearest npc (or trap). Go in that dir, and if u get giants emote .... run!

Ok I thought there was a trick to it couldn't remember though. I think I just ran around with SoW til he spawned since I was a druid at the time and don't remember being able to charm(don't think I had high enough spell) the stuff there then.

Use the loc on the wiki and run and run and run and run. If you spawn the giants it's because someone spawned him previous to that. Zone them, come back and run around some more.

used the pet trick and keep finding the death squad instead, how long did it take for you guys? so far I am 0-4

Ok pet trick worked after 5 fake traps. I would just zone into kael IF i lived - the traps are STRONNGGG if it's *just* the traps. I paid someone a ct pot to pet wait with me. id face where pet faces and BACK UP (easily missed) til trap triggers. 100% manaskin or rune whatever you got because death traps are insanely OP. 1 round 1 shotted me without manaskin at 53.

That quest sucked lol. Literally ran for 45 min with 1 trap , must be a really small radius. But after pet, i got it in just a few min, could chain trigger traps within a minute apart.

Did you have to do anything to reset the trigger after you die or can you go back and do the pet trick right away?

I'm also having trouble with this. Using the pet trick and I've gotten 6 death squads so far. There doesn't seem to be any consistency to when you can re-trigger. Sometimes I can zone them and go right back and do it again, but sometimes my pet doesn't turn and face the trap (as if it's not there) and I can't spawn anything. I can't figure out what makes the trap itself spawn\despawn.
