What's up with the boats?
 

I've run a couple of searches on the forums, and I've found multiple conflicting reports.

I just ran from Kelethin to the BB docks, and arriving there I was surprised to see a gaggle of people waiting.

I inquired, and was told the boats take 30 or 40 MINUTES to arrive?

That can't be right....right?

Honestly, that sounds about right.

Yes. There is still only 1 boat (should be 2 at this point) and it takes 30 minutes (plus or minus a few seconds) round trip.

One of the best classic features next to EC tunnel.

i gotta admit my first boat ride across OOT on live was the most memorable experience in any game. the waiting and socializing, then the train of specs onto the boat, then a corpse run (more waiting and socializing), then a seafury at the island docks, then another corpse run, then arriving at freeport like 3 hours later... oh evercrack, you got me good

Classic as fuck. Nothing beats running out of the room for a few minutes and seeing that you zoned into North Freeport and then back into OOT again :(

Been there done that about 100 times over the years lol. I still take the boat a lot even on a level 60 toon with tons of plat on it. Who is in a hurry. :p Neat boat ride, gives you time to get a Beer and Pee, or vice versa. :eek:

I don't mind waiting for the boat. What I do mind is getting on a boat (BB to FF) and getting thrown off the shuttle and dumped into the sea and left to fend for myself to swim for hours.

This happened to me and a bard just last night when we took the BB boat to FV.

If the boats are bugged then their should be an NPC that teleports you from BB to FV and the reverse. I believe they had this on EQ live when the boats were malfunctioning.
