Discord: Been out of the loop
 

So what exactly is going on in this new server called the discord server?


I heard something about needing a neckbeard?!

Word on the street is that someone realized red99 has lost that red hue and is becoming more blue by the second, with neckbeards and pasty sub 100 lb boys gathering 80+ of their best friends to wall dragons and giants.

So a "temp" server with a shade of red will be offered to help those in need.

thank god they ended it, discord is the exact thing adult eq addicts need.... wipe that shit every 2 months and repeat, some fun and competitive gaming where pvp means something more then giving colgate an exuse to recruit more people, pras it

It seems it was just meant to be something a little different. Any server where you lose all your levels and items upon death is nothing permanent. What it seems like, is the playing field will be leveled and it will be more based on pvp than progression and farming. Which is what most underdogs want because they were unable to play the game to a degree that would enable them to compete with the top players on the server. (basically being unemployed and playing a game non stop)

If red resembles anything like classic red servers the people on top are the ones with the best items, and they'll have a lock down (didnt get into p99 red was busy in college le'sad face).

Sadly I never played on EQ's actual discord server. But I am an old Tallon Zeker. Im listening to the pod cast as I type and will write a comprehensive player response about it.
