Out of all the boxes, is this one the bluest?

Many don't know this, since I am a known PVP God, but I am fairly new to the box scene. I only got into red 99 as Kunark started.

Anyways, I always hear people talking about all these awesome matches and pvp that went down on other boxes. It seems things were quite different from red 99, where contesting never happens for one reason or another.

Yes Red 99 might be the most stable box, but is it also the bluest?

If you can cite another box where PVP was far more prominent, please tell us about it.

Where did the matches break out? How did pvp get started? How available was it? etc

I lost the box. I am mad.

People don't like mass PVP more than the PVE progression style or else more would be doing it.

I hate to quote Nirgon, but hate the game not the playa.

(My favorite part of EQ is mass pvp, I wish it wasn't so)

I have a hard time understanding what is the 'right way to pvp'.. I came from rallos zek, where the server was all about progression as per designed by the original creator and god brad mcquaid envisioned it.

It was more difficult than the blue servers, becuse its a free for all wild west, where if someone wanted to be a bandit and go around the world killing people, they could.. that made the game even harder for them, becuse they had to hang out and progress with other bandits, that often are difficult to trust. Even here, when I hang with known pvpers theres always that fear that they may just kill you for kek's.

So to me, PvP here is working as designed in the original classic sense.

Is that what everyone wants here? Yes and No of course.

Lite, what do YOU think pvp on the box should be like? In a perfect utopian world, what would a night on the server be like?

Like Smite? you log on, level 1 and by the end of the night you are level 50 fully geared just via PVP?

Like Battlefield? Everyone is level 60 and geared basically the same and we just log into North Freeport and just pvp for like 20-40 mins for a nice KDR?

Or like EQ? Lots of PvE progression - gankers and pvp guilds roaming trying to stop progression of strangers for reasons?

Curious, what is your ideal pvp lifestyle? This question goes out to everyone, since everyone seems to think everyone else is doing it wrong.... what is your way of right?

Me personaly? basically what we got here.. I think its a great mix of PvE and PvP.. Although Id like to see 20-30 people in NFP just logging on to PVP for KDR :)

My answer would most likely be oriented towards what a night of proper Kunark pvp would have been like, which is what I campaigned for time and time again.

The fact that sim repops were never automated and caused any non zerg guilds to not be viable, led to us entering Velious with the horrible guild composition we have at the moment.

There's absolutely no reason for why we couldn't have entered Velious with several viable competing guilds. Now repairing the damage is too much imo.

You have an administrator, whose GM's tell him that the server's fucked and spawns need to be fixed. Then he implements a system which makes pvp blow up, then he forgets all about it even though he set up the system to require his presence, instead of automating it. Rogean literally doesn't give a fuck, and I lost all faith in the box because of it.

Were you there for Red Dawn v Nihilum V Azrael for Severilous?

Something like that. This situation only came about because all factions involved were not bound by progress being tied up to 7 day timers. Then sim pops were not seen again except for once every few months and it went back to just nihilum.
