faction on this server that is required as per Nilbog:
"This quest requires amiable or better faction."



It shouldn't be, I know for a fact 3 months into velious my brother in Midnight Sojourn back on Erollisi Marr used hide/sneak to turn his in as a rogue. He had one of the first ones on the server 2 months in. And i remember many monks/rogues being given it in Da kor / United Independent because of the fact they were KoS from farming north and sneak turn ins worked.

I got this cloak and did some test logs and eyeballing the tests appear its on the same as my monk epic, but someone else said i did it wrong and the haste is only 23%... i dont think i could mistake 23% to 40%...

anyways i just ran up to hara then hit sneak and sneaked to her with the item on the cursor.. i hit give as soon as i got it in a trade window got my cloak and ran away."



also the p99 wiki(http://wiki.project1999.com/Aid_the_Dar_Brood) says: "Harla Dar is found wandering the northeastern portion of the Western Wastes. You must be at least apprehensive or indifferent to the Claws of Veeshan before she'll speak with you. " That was pulled from somewhere.

The wiki usually just automatically copies the most current version of Allakhazam when the pages are created.

Some of the comments after 2002 (Skyshrine revamp) indicate she may have had her faction require bumped to a higher faction level.


Found this nugget. Looks like she took a 2 month vacation and was removed in Early July 2001 and returned on August 31, 2001.

She dies a lot, we always kill her on the way.

She was removed because she was bugged on live. For the first few months she did not summon so bards could just kite her down.

so with that being said, is there any proof showing that my original post of apprehensively / indifferent for the quest piece is wrong?

Nothing that I found. Most of the posters were already warmly or ally just from being on COV faction, or wanted to max it before trying it.

I did not see any specific posts, I tried at XXX faction and it was eaten. There were some posts about Harla not speaking to them at apprehensive, but I guess people didn't want to risk a Zlandicar drop on it.

I doubt the guy who made the Zam comment fabricated his sneak turn in tho

the question is when did the faction amounts get changed - so thats probably most likely what happened, and why theres not much info since the mob was bugged on live for so long

So Nilbog, please fix sir!

Any updates on this? OP is correct, never once had Amiable faction on live and had shrouds on two toons.
