if you are a halfling and go to DN, cross vilefangs pond and look into the wall on the right there is what looks to be the corner of some room that doesn't exist with some writing scribbled into it...

What is this?!

Look through the walls on the first floor of ToFS, or look through the walls in the maze of PoM. So many questions.

mind blown

what a strange thing to just be in the zone.

Zaela 09-06-2015 02:43 AM

The room is centered around the origin (0, 0, 0). A lot of cat boxes and other dev rooms with locs written on the walls are -- it's a natural place to start at if you're opening the zone up in a viewer or otherwise entering it in an unguided way.

EQEmu #zone command sends the dev/GM using it to the zone's safe spot by default, but early EQ devs might not have had that luxury, I guess.

ToFS and PoM ones are at 0, 0, 0 as well.

Gives a little insight into what EQ devs called things, too... pretty much the same obvious things that players did.
