The way Red has been described to me is analogous to a scene in the Stephen King movie "It". The killer clown Pennywise is inside a gutter when he spots a little boy, he calls out to the little boy and promises him all his dreams will come true if he will just jump down inside this gutter with him. The boy, knowing nothing of what he was getting into, jumps down into the gutter. Pennywise then proceeds to brutally maul and kill the child before turning into a giant spider and skitter off into the sewers covered in blood.

Meanwhile on blue though, pixel starvation is real :(

The once in a blue moon thread would be one thing, but the constant barrage of "Try red" everywhere is crossing the line and entering the category of spam.
