Mage Fire Pet (<lvl 50) - How to quicken the DS when chain petting?
 

does anyone know any tips and tricks to speeden up the fire pet to DS himself? I am chain fire petting to level up and sometimes it takes Gaben a while to DS himself. Is this random or is there any trick I can do to make him do it faster?

from experience, he will only DS himself if he is not in combat. So summon, run away from your mob, and keep an eye out for your pet to do the cast animation.

Just keep spamming "Pet back" until he casts it. It will do it between mob swings. Usually only takes a few seconds.

Other option is if you are in an open area, you can run away bit when you summon, so the mob has to run to you, giving it time to cast the DS.
