I guess you could say I had a normal upbringing. As soon as I could walk I was out pulling turnips, rolling pumpkins and stuffing the scarecrow. As I got older, I saw some of the other Halflings being enrolled in druidic studies, sneaking around, or even learning to close wounds. " Thrillbro, get back to those weeds " they would tell me if I ever dared to peak or inquire as to what they were doing. I had no choice but to listen.
I was stuck in the fields, pulling turnips, rolling pumpkins, and stuffing the scarecrow. I thought that was going to be my life forever, but it seemed my destiny, so I took it upon myself to do the best job I could. My reputation spread, and before I knew it, I was also working on small handy jobs around the town, even got a notice from the mayor once about the work I did on the fence. I was honestly pretty happy with the way things were going, but I knew there was more to life, there had to be something else.
Misty thicket used to be a safe place. I remember playing with my beetles and never considering seeing a goblin. Now there are tents within a few hundred meters. The guards at the wall don't even have their own food storage anymore and have to be run food on a daily basis. I then saw my opportunity to make something of myself, and my town.
I cant cast any spells, I can barely hide if standing still, but I dug turnips, rolled pumpkins, and stuffed the hell out of that scarecrow so im grabbing a sword and cleaning up this place. I am going to give the mayor a run for his money. No longer will people see Thrillbro Swaggins and scoff at another turnip puller.
I am going to make something of myself, one gutted goblin, one flayed rat, and one mayor at a time.
