To make high elf plate leggings requires 10 blue diamonds!? Did I read that right? That's just dumb.

a future patch is supposed to do away with the need for blue diamonds.

yea that needs to happen.. that seems really unrealistic as it is.

Its classic and suppose to be that way. They removed it like april/may 2001 so a few months into velious.

There was a time before this was realized and we merrily made a ton of dark elf/high elf etc cultural armor...still time intensive farming essence of shadows/elf blood/etc but it was good stuff.

I didn't sell my dark elf set when I left P99, someone is borrowing it... too sentimental to sell :p

Blue Diamonds were mostly vendor gems on live until 1 month into Velious when BD jewelcraft recipes went live.

On P99, cultural armor initially didn't require the gems, so people made a crap load it for relatively little cost.

On P99, Blue diamond jewelry was always active and mass produced for 4 years until the items were nerfed and the recipes disabled. BUT people still knew it was coming back one day so the prices dipped only a little bit, but not really enough to make it worth the cultural armor needs and people were still hoarding them for Velious. Plus the fact people knew that the jewel requirement is dropped in Velious, so people are just holding off on making the armor.
