Now, I cannot remember, but was +bane damage in Classic? I didn't want to throw this into the bugs section without knowing.

I believe Bane weapons were introduced with SoL.

Hmm I am going to try and continue researching this. Though it would make sense.. cause uhh.. gnoll slayer turning into an 11/28 vs Gnolls is starting to sound a little mean.

Even though it is a level 25-30 quest.

Pretty certain banes were Luclin. And stupid.

I wouldn't say they are stupid, specially in terms of the idea of fantasy. But a quick google search is telling me that it certainly wasn't classic. Which is kind of a bummer, but oh well.

If you read the posts below, the enchanted version did double dmg to gnolls.

I thought you couldn't get the enchanted version shown there. Either it was fake or the quest was broken or something. It wasn't until during the Luclin expansion that they fixed / added on to the quest so you could get the intermediate version and then the final version.

greenmist was kunark era with shissar bane before shissar were even in game iirc.
