Excellent Siren Scale not dropping
 

I have killed a lot of sirens in CS. Seen zero scales. They are rare, but not that rare.

They were dropping during Beta.

Someone in guild said they got one.

I killed probably 50-60 within past few days. Someone else said they killed a bunch, too, and never saw any.

I've spoken with others who have farmed the zone, and over the course of 4 days of 6-8 hour farming only 3 scales have dropped.

They should be rare, but not this rare.

I've found 3 scales in a very short time of killing sirens in CS.

I think it might be more common in SG?? Not sure though.

Was this updated? I got 2 in about 6 hours so far today which is about the correct drop rate

Got several excellent siren scales last night (before the patch).

Year ago, I did this quest several times on live with multiple characters. I can tell you for a fact that the Excellent Siren Scales were NOT THIS RARE.

First of all, I am pretty sure that they dropped from any Siren, not just the Siren Enticer.

Second of all, it didn't take me 6 hours to find 1 scale. They were uncommon, but not like this. I've already gone 36% into my level killing Siren's, and just 1 scale so far. This did not happen on EQ Live, I guarantee.

Camped the four sirens by the SS zone in for eight hours solo with my chanter. Two hairs and eleven scales dropped.

i saw 7 in under 1 hour was looking for hairs killed 18 sirens got my hair on last 2 mobs

Got 3 in one hour hunting for Siren Hair. Not rare.

On Project 1999, the Excellent Siren Scales are rarer than the Siren Hair. That's definitely not right.

Maybe they took the drop rate of 6% from magelo.

They are really rare though, maybe it's the level difference, but they seemed more common outside. But my logs are too old to look back and find specifics.
