These all seem pretty insane to an outsider, but are any head-and-shoulders above other options in the slot?

Tunic is pretty good and the arms replace mithril. Some of the other pieces would be useful for sta/hp when they have it, but they're really heavy on dex/agi (useless) and have no resists. If it's better than what you're currently wearing, sure, but focus on the cap/hands/pants. I wouldn't go out of my way to get anything besides the chest/arms, personally.

I think the gloves and boots are quite good too. The gloves are on par with Gauntlets of Fiery Might, but will be cheaper than the gaunts are atm (might be subject to change). The boots are better than planar, as are many many pieces. It's basically an insane twink starter set. As Samoht said, the only long term items that might interest a raider would be the tunic and sleeves.

As a crafter of this armor with 229 tailoring, 40% success rate is too low to mass produce all of the pieces. I'm only going to be focusing on very specific items (haze arms/bp) from each set unless someone places an order.

Price of iksar hide boots is crashing too hard right now to use anything else, really. What are the panther boots selling for?

I plan on buying a bp/arms from cecily when I get the chance. They are very nice for a rogue who has no time for farming HoT. The arms are a clear, easyupgrade over anything in kunark.

My only complaint is that the rest of the set doesn't have much hp/resist which is what a high level character really needs.
