Nek forest is tough on newbs

I never played a dark elf on live so correct
me if I am wrong here

1) snakes are social? All moss snakes and tree snakes appear to assist each other.

2) spiders are social too? Large spiders assist spiderlings and vice versa. Makes it hard to fight just 1.

3) everything appears to be running instead of walking. This only adds
to the chaos. With spiders and snakes assisting eachother you spend a lot of time on CRs as a dark elf newb.

So far everything else looks OK cept maybe the piranhas in the river. Are these
suppose to be KOS? If so they were conning indifferent when I swam through.

4) swimming skill... Does this go up?

1) Snakes are social but are 100% not supposed to be.
2) Spiders are social and are supposed to be. Beetles too. They were always risky fights due to the prospect of adds.
3b)Pirannas were always KOS.

With nektullos' dubious viability on live coupled with the snake issue and nightmare that is level 3, just go to wfreeport to level to 4 (I went back to nek and did skellies/snakes 4-7). It will save you hours, guaranteed.

Are any snakes supposed to be social with one another?

Fixed in Nektulos, pending update. Report if needed elsewhere.

I never remember snakes being social. It just makes it incredibly hard since most of the newbie trash around the newb log is spiders & snakes. I find myself targetting only the bixies, decaying skeletons, fire beetles, wolves and the occasional bear. Attacking a spider or snake is just asking for trouble.

I was reading some posts on alla's regarding the moss snakes. If they were social other players would have posted something about it. Instead, people are posting how easy they are to kill and what wonderful sources of loot they are.
