Druid/Enchanter Combo Help
Hi my friend and I both have lv 29 enchanter and druid
we just been grouping this whole time and havent duo'd much and was wondering what was some good strategies for this duo Also where to level too? |
Most druid/enchanter combos in that range do FV cliffs with a pirate rogue pet, fear kiting drolvargs. I did it once, was pretty fun and very good xp.

Charm stuff, kill stuff, profit! Keep charm pet(s) ensnared so they don't wreck anyone on charm break.

Druid+ench is pretty solid, especially outdoors.
The usual method is to charm a rogue NPC, give it a couple weapons, buff the hell out of it (mainly just haste though), then either have the druid aggro kite NPCs with snare+flame lick while the rogue pet annihilates stuff and the chanter meds at a safe distance to recharm as needed... or to have the chanter drop fears instead of having the druid aggro kite (the druid gets to med and therefore DPS more in this version, but the chanter is using more mana to keep fears up and you can't control where the enemy is running too well). Not sure if you can keep a charmed pet snared with either of these methods though... I don't know if a snared pet bounces in and out of melee range with a snare enemy or what. But you're outdoors so the chanter can keep max casting distance (or further) to have MORE than enough time to cast level 4 mez on charm breaks. FV is a good spot if it's not being monopolized by a bard or three. Other outdoor options would be south karana, overthere, maybe frontier mountains? If you don't want to do outdoor kiting stuff you could move into a place like the fort in LOIO (and maybe get a nice drop) as you and the druid help your pet tank+kill stuff. Any outdoor zone with blue cons is your playground with that duo, really. You can try dungeons also (lguk, unrest, mistmoore, sola, paw), though they're much riskier (tight quarters so harder to maneuver, more likely to get big pulls, usually are caster NPCs you have to deal with). My favorite dungeon for that duo would probably be CT, where you can go after all those level 30ish crocodiles and you can BOTH charm one! |
Fear-kite everything! (outdoors)
For more details do the following steps: 1. Enchanter summons animation/charms 2. Druid loads up snare, nukes, may also charm a nearby animal if available 3. Druid pulls using SoW and track 4. Enchanter tashes mob, gets hit once to get animation to do something useful, then fears mob 5. Druid snares mob 6. Let the pet(s) do the dirty work, with occasional nukes and fears and DoTs I was doing this at level 29 with a level 30 enchanter. We were fear-kiting the lower level hill giants in Rathe Mountains for a while until one at the max level decided to take us out because we were too awesome. PS: Don't kite HGs until later, just do giant skeletons at your level. You can also get the cyclops running around if it's yellow. |
overthere. two pets. nuff said

If the druid needs gear, try the FM giant fort for a forest loop... its a longshot but they're nice for him :)

SK is a good place to start off IOT get diff techniqs down then move into Paw to hone up

Tecmos has it down pretty much. I don't think you will need to snare your charmed pets because you should always have sow on and the chanter should keep some distance between themselves and the mob. lvl 4 mez, or pbae stuns are fast cast so you can recharm.
I would also look at chanter solo guides and check out those spots. Think about how the duo would work in those areas and I bet this will give you new ideas for other places to go. It's a great duo. Druid has everything that a chanter is missing. |
