Fire Beetle Eyes
 

Hi there. Not sure if this is where I should be posting this; if not, I apologize.

I was doing the Fire Beetle Eyes quest in Nektulos for Noxhil V'Sek in Neriak's Third Gate. I admit, I just started playing the other day and have virtually no experience with original EQ, so I probably made a rookie mistake and just played it by ear. It took hours and hundreds of Fire Beetle kills just to get those 10 eye drops. Unfortunately, I didn't know I was supposed to combine them into a different item. I went back to Noxhil and traded him my full box of beetle eyes. He said something along the lines of, "I don't need this item," and deleted the whole thing. Needless to say, I was in awe. Is this a bug...? And is there a way I can get that box back?

It will be 100x faster to ask Noxhil V`Sek for another box and kill more fire beetles, than submitting a petition (via the petition forum) and waiting days/weeks for GMs to reimburse Fire Beetle Eyes, if they would even do that.

Welcome to EQ where dozens of hours of work can be wiped out in an instant.

Well, at least my misfortune can amuse others ;P

When you're a poor noob, you'll take all exp/cash you can get... but not at the price of doing that over, haha.
