After playing on Ragefire for only a week....I now understand

I understand why they ban RMT here on P99.

I understand why they ban multiboxers here on P99.

I understand why.

It's a complete and utter shitshow over there. A cesspool if you will. I just wish there were more people that played on P99. 1300 people on the server at it's peak is a little weak. I don't think I've seen it go over 1500 on the weekends either.

Personally I think the server is a perfect size. I saw it reach over 1800 during the double exp weekend and it was just too crowded in the popular zones, which I guess can be a good thing as it forces people to check out different zones but still, if it was like that all the time it would be frustrating. The player base is much larger but of course not everyone plays at the same time all the time.

1300-1500 is a good size. Back on Live, HHK goblins were 4 camps, literally 4-5 mobs a piece. With twinking and general player knowledge, there just aren't enough mobs, and that's ignoring the end-game raid scene which is also plenty crowded.

I agree, the more overcrowded and the longer you have to wait in line for camps the better, right? 1000 strangers that you'll never see or talk to just isn't enough strangers for my taste.

P99 isn't overcrowded, it's just been stuck in kunark for 4 years and PL businesses contribute to the high end player problem.

I remember even in Luclin 90% of the playerbase on my server didn't have a level 60 main. Most guilds that weren't bleeding edge had the bulk of their force in the low to mid 50s.

Compare that to p99 ... Kunark was never designed to support the raiding and progression desires of 100s if not 1000s of level 60s. Classic time frame minus the PL, by the time most people hit 60 or wanted to work on their epics, all the hardcore people were already grinding aa's with cats on the moon and poopsocking VT keys. Most people didn't have a billion alts they wanted to gear up either as they were stuck on that endless treadmill with their main.

I can only imagine. Last week I took a look at some videos on YouTube and redguides.com, more out of morbid curiosity then anything else. Really the appeal to any of that is completely lost on me. What exactly is the point? It's like paying to play with yourself without any pay off.

Sure, you could have 6 subscriptions per month... or you could just play an offline game, it's about the same for social interaction.

Just wait for winter to drop. I'd expect prime time population to hover around 1800-2000 every night.

Pinolian 07-08-2015 04:53 PM

We were seeing up to 1700 here nightly here, but I think the network problems have kept quite a few out.

but yes I agree completely with the boxing rules here, and RMT. They got it right
