THANKS, LAZORTAG

I would like to relate a story. Recently I have been working on questing up my Totemic gear (my shaman is now level 30). I have already died a few times getting various pieces in Faydwer, and have gotten help from a couple of level 50s (here's looking at you, Swishahouse and Zikern). On my way out of Butcherblock I stopped by the Ocean of Tears to nab a driftwood pipe from a goblin chieftan.

I've never hunted in the Ocean of Tears before, so I just got off at the first island (Sisters), ran around a bit, killed a couple of dwarves, decided there weren't any chieftans around, and lev-ran to the nearest island.

Bingo, goblins! I scouted around invis, found a chieftan, and pulled him along with two other goblins (two dark blues and a light blue). Took them down with a good deal of time and difficulty through some careful root-dotting - no pipe drop.

I medded up back at his spawn, intending to pull them before they were all up. But then a goblin shaman passing by aggroed, repops happened, some shit went wrong, and before I knew it I had four goblins on my tail! This I could not deal with.

At this point my lev was gone. My swimming skill is about 70. I had about five minutes left on my SoW. I was pretty boned, but I didn't want to deal with another death, so I started running around the island in circles. I appealed to the zone for help in /shout, and who finally offered to help? None other than Giegue, aka Lazortag, aka an officer of the fine guild LifeAlert which I had just yesterday left in favor of my IRC buddy Tralina's new guild Rants & Flames.

So props to you, Lazortag, for rescuing a traitorous ogre from (10 minutes later) a shitload of goblins while you were presumably busy camping. And among them was the respawned chieftan, this time carrying a pipe. Now I'm logging off for the night. Next time: I scour Antonica for more random Totemic stuff and probably get myself killed several more times.

After I saved him, I trained him for good measure.

And then he died. Because I killed him.

Good, we were starting to think you'd gone all care-bear on us
