Everquest runs very easily under WINE according to their App DB. The only point I would make is that you need to set your processor-affinity to a single core or else you may find yourself warping around the map every so often when you try to move.

Sadly, I don't use Ubuntu right now, so I cannot even recall the commands to do that; Google will help.

Just for the sake of any Linux user who can help more, can you give a basic overview of where you are at? Do you have WINE installed? How about Winetricks? Do you have a working (Windows) install on your PC? Have you CHOWNed the folder? Have you updated your configuration?

Used to use 14.04 32 bit, pixel shaders needEd to be off, fonts changed, etc. dsetup.dll needed It's name made lower case

I think I started with a guide I found here and ended my setup with A different guide Derubael or someone linked

*edit* will edit links to the guides I looked at here

I run EQ under linux. As far as I know, my guide still works perfectly.

If you have trouble, PM me, and if we fix it, I can update the guide.
