Questions from a long time ago

It's been 14 years since I played, so I guess my memory is a little hazy, but a few things escape me at the moment:

-I remember being able to go into 3rd person and move the camera around my character in any direction using the LEFT mouse button. Like if I was kiting something I could see what was behind me without having to switch to a different camera view or physically turn around. Can I still do this?

-I remember being able to create any arbitrary macro on a hotbutton by clicking on it somehow and editing it. Can I still do this?

F9 changes camera view.

To create a macro, go to the Socials box, think it's 4th tab, you should see empty boxes, just right click one of those and you can rename it, enter text i.e. /corpse and change text color.

Good luck :)

I had the same issue with macros.
You can create whatever macro directly linked to a hot button you want with :
/hotbutton "name of the hotbutton" "macro commands"
You can then easily edit the hutbutton created by right clicking it.

I however still have an unsolved issue :
Can I create a 2nd separated hotbutton bar, without editing the UI ?

No, has to be the right mouse button (which rotates your character).

Yes, you can right click any macro to edit it. Check out the macro window (part of the abilities box) to see the default ones, which you can edit, or switch to a second page and there are a bunch of blank ones.

Yes, you just need to switch your pov with f9 i think and see which one does what you remember (although, possibly like you, i swear i remember the default camera angle allowing you to pan back then look around as you describe)

yes macros are awesome here, you can even do multiple actions in a single macro
