Zoning taking over a minute tonight?

Mine has been fine. Wireless connection? Anyone hogging all the bandwidth? That can cause disconnects

and to think this game used to run just fine over dialup...

You are not alone. Lately I've been crashing when zoning, upon logging on(get greeted by "SERVER IS NOT RESPONDING"), and lag. There's a thread somewhere on this.

I played last night and zoned many times without crashing, so I think I fixed my problem.

I re-installed & patched (P99files36.zip), but without running epicemu_patch.zip

I don't remember why I ever installed epicemu_patch.zip in the first place. Something, someone, somewhere suggested it I guess.

Anyhoo... it's poop with P99.

You are not alone. It's wonky at times. I've got an original Platinum install from many years ago and it worked near flawlessly until a few weeks ago. /shrug

I had no problems last night but I know a few people were talking about slow zoning in /gu so it's not just you.

There are some major connectivity issues going on right now. Seems intermittent to me. Check out the Technical Forums.

This is a bigger issue than people think, and people have pointed it out where the issue lies, but devs will not respond. It is since the last hotfix(break).

Maybe one day they will listen, but for now they sure as hell aren't.

Game's been unplayable for me for the last two days. Takes up to 5 minutes to load when it doesn't just crash.
