Camera control?

I like playing in the default third person. On live I can swing the camera around to see all around while in that view; all I need to do is hold my left mouse button while swinging the camera and my character doesn't move.

I know I can rotate the camera with other character settings, but you need to switch back to move your guy reliably.

Is there anyway to get that camera control in game that I am talking about? Thanks.

In options , you have mouse look on/off. other than that, i haven't found a way to do what you do. Not a classic feature I don't think. Perhaps someone will correct me.

I think I am close to getting it the way I want. Bound first person to X key and chase camera to Z. Chase camera works well except I can't get used to the way you turn the camera left and right.

Is there anyway to invert the X axis? That would get it. I only see an option to invert Y.

I have always wondered this as well.

In the hotkey camera settings you have "user defined 1" and "2", not at computer so don't recall exact names.

#1 is first person and #2 is that 3rd person view you can see/move camera all around. I bind these to F and G respectively so I can easily go back and forth.
