Frontal Stun Immunity - a community poll...

Q: Is frontal stun immunity enough to make you roll an ogre for your chosen class (where available)?

Lets see what the community thinks as a whole...

Your vote counts, please choose carefully.

twin towers didn't have frontal stun immunity

Rika 06-02-2015 07:53 PM

No frontal stun immunity has never hindered any aspect of my game play. Maybe I'm lucky...meh. I still solo/duo anything worth anything. For other classes, well, I don't care much :D

Also,

Iksars have sex appeal, Ogres look like giant sacks of potatoes :p

EDIT: I wonder what an Ogre's flying kick animation would be like.

After extensive research and testing, I have determined that the best warrior races are, in order of Best to Worst:

Gnome
Half Elf
Wood Elf
Halfling
Dwarf
Dark Elf
Ogre
Troll
Barbarian
Iksar
Human

As you can see, aesthetics are important when choosing a race for your Warrior. Please don't make the mistake of choosing Ogre.

If the only perk was frontal stun no.

They have pretty boss starting stats for tanks and shaman as well.

I made my sham a good troll for regen, but if I made a warrior it'd be an ogre

If it can be Ogre

Played a ogre/warrior in classic and only because it seemed like a natural choice given the high stats. This was when I was 10-11 and didn't even know what powergaming was. Did that all the way up to LoY or LDoN. When I came back to live, and before learning about p99, I made the character I thought I always wanted, a dark elf shadowknight.

Never realized how much that frontal stun immunity helped until I was playing that character.

Never again.

Ogre's caused 9/11 confirmed.

Seriously though. People who play Ogres are Ogres in real life. Otherwise they're only picking them for meta reason. End game it doesn't matter what race you are. I'd like to see factual statistics on how much the frontal stun immunity impacts a raid compared to no frontal stun immunity. Not just people saying it's night and day.

I'll never play an ogre. Big, ugly and dumb looking.

For races that don't have a Flying Kick animation, they just fall back to the regular kick animation. Found this out when a GM on Live changed my entire guild's raid into Gnomes.

What happens if the person with frontal stun immunity also has this elusive "skill and knowledge"?!
