The route to lvl 50
 

Whats the popular zones to lvl to 50?

In Faydwer, I did my research and got it down to a tee. CB, Unrest, mm 20+, then go else where 35+ if no mm groups.

Whats popular in Atonica, or the spots to be. I vaguely know 15-30, some spots include HHP, then HHK, Oasis, Guktop, gukbottom, or sol a, sol b. Or paw 30-38ish if groups happen.

Kunark, no clue, whats the routes for kunark?

Solo, I have the swishs guide to lvl.

I've been doing Dreadlands as a warrior at 40. I usually get groups pretty quickly, although I'm not a fan of DL. It's too far out of the way, and the mobs are really dangerous at 40. Seems like the zone is full of people all the time.

whats the obsession with following the herd?

Reliably being able to get a group is a plus.

Warslik's Wood giant fort. 20ish

Sarnak fortress in Loio. Early 20s.

Giant fort in Frontier Mountains. 30s

City of Mist. 40s.

Karnors Castle. 50s.

FV killing pirates mid to late 30s
TD killing spirocs - varying levels 45ish-53ish

A less popular leveling route if anyone wants to follow it (there will be people, but the crowds won't be there so much).

Befallen 9-16ish
Najena 16-22ish (keys etc)
Solusek A 22ish-30(?)

Solusek B 36-48 (and onward if you like)
Highkeep nobles 48-54 (solo/duo)


If you're a rogue or another class that thrives in a group I can see the appeal in sticking to MM, City of Mist etc :)

I would add Permafrost to that list as well - great dungeon, usually completely uncamped (aside from some higher levels camping specific mobs). Can start a group there at 20ish for the entrance and crawl your way in until 30+. There are some decent loots to pick up too, very obtainable for a mid twenties group!

As for the OP's question:

Antonica > HHK goblins (grouped) or guards (solo), Sol A (25-35ish) and L-Guk (33-35ish +) are fairly popular leveling areas - HHK & L-Guk more-so than Sol A, though HHK can really only support one group if you're doing goblins.

Kunark > Grouping at the Frontier Mountains giant fort is a pretty popular spot for 30-34ish - enough spawns for at least couple full groups, and plenty of singles to pick off if you have to solo for a while. City of Mist is also very popular, I believe people start grouping there around 40? My experience kinda stops there unfortunately.

Here is my general rule for alot of characters i make.

1-4 Newbie Area
4-7 Orc Hill (Greater Faydark)
7-12 Crushbone
12-19 Oasis
19-35 Mistmoore / Highpass Keep Goblins
35-40 Firiona Vie (duo group)
40-45 Dreadlands
45-50 CoM

This is pretty much a rough list of what i have done on my own character both in groups and solo as a caster so i hope this helps!

Being a daring and intrepid explorer who ventures far off the beaten path sounds really fun...

...up until you realize that in practice it means you go to some empty dungeon, sit around with nothing to do for an hour, then go back to the popular zones anyway. That sort of exploration works well on a heavily populated server (and indeed we saw some of it with 1900 plus online during double experience), but with a more limited population folks will mostly stick to the trafficked zones out of practical necessity.
