New to 1999
 

Hello all!

Just wanted to pop in. Currently playing on what seems to be the 'main' server, the 1999 server.

I played EQ back in the days before Kunark and during. I never really did much past the 'newbie' levels, 30ish being about the highest I reached, mostly solo. Most things I remember from EQ are Orc trains in Oasis and learning about siren belts selling for 1pp a piece.

Before EQ came out I could mostly be found on Darkness Falls, DF2, and Magestorm during the Gamestorm heydays. I've played just about every triple A MMORPG since EQ, including EQ2, DAoC, WoW, and a bunch of other titles that usually died quickly or went to F2P.

I hope to meet other players here as I progress through some of the content. As of now I am running as a DE Magician, currently level 7 in Nektulos Forest, Azareel!

Welcome back! Very very few games cast a spell that EQ holds over one.

I finally found out why my xp was so slow. I learned about the pet xp penalty and quickly changed how much damage I do during combat. Changed a lot!

I would not worry a lot about the pet penalty on a Mage much. They kill so fast if you use a Fire Pet you can easily overcome it. I just Kill, Kill, Kill on mine. It works. :p

I've been using the water pet. I'm guessing I should be using fire? Level 8 atm.
