Multiple Computers

So I'm not exactly a Techie, but I understand with this limited IP situation for accounts... are we at least able to login from multiple locations/computers?

Say one day I'm playing on my desktop...

Will I still be able to later log on to my laptop at home / elsewhere or do I need to apply for that IP exemption ?

Sorry, probably dumb question, but just wanted to cover my bases.

Thank you..

u should try it before you ask

Didn't want to get banned ... as I read that was what happens with the IP thing.

1. IP addresses usually have nothing to do with the computer you're using. IPs belong to the server to which you connect to the internet (like from your ISP).

2. The IP limit for Project 1999 only applies to simultaneous usage. Don't be logging on multiple computers to the same server at the same time.

3. Generally, if your account is logged in, you will simply be blocked if another simultaneous login is attempted (you'll get a popup that says your IP is temporarily blocked).

4. Not a dumb question.

IOW, install the game on as many computers as you like; but only play one at a time.

Thank you for clearing that up for me :) Just wanted to be safe, and enjoy playing old EQ again.

Come on OP, play along.

Don't think about playing 2 accounts yourself, you're going to get caught and suspended or banned. It's not worth it, even if you're just logging the second one in to buff the first one.

The IP exemption is for two people playing from the same internet connection. If one is playing from work or another house then it's business as usual, no exemption needed.

You're totally fine to log in from different places in the same day.

Lol, I have no intention of playing multiple accounts. I just have a laptop in case I don't want to sit at my desktop. Just an innocent inquiry, I enjoy this Project 1999 thing, and have no intention of looking for "loopholes." I just want to it the right way. Hence the post.

So I just made the transition from my laptop to a desktop PC and didn't have any major issues. Yes my desktop purchase was contingent upon me getting EQ to work. I have a problem.

As long as you don't make a 2nd account you will be fine. Besides boxing is so unnecessary here. The community is fucking great. Join red.

Yea for sure, overcrowded yet friendly community is better than sparse population ;) I'll admit I've never tried a pvp server before...

red is a much better atmosphere if you are just starting out no point in playing on blue.
