Any possibility of a new server ?
 

As a new player and former EQ release day player I was wondering is there any talk of a new server?

I'd like to relive the opening day buzz that classic EQ release gave and realize current server is a number of years old already thus rubicite, mask of deceiver, manastone and other such iconic classic release items are long gone even here.

There's been talk of a "Recycle Server" that will feed back into the primary server every few years but it seems to still be a ways off. Lots of people are really looking forward to something like that though so who knows.

The developers have already announced that there would be a "recycle" sever of sorts. A second server that would follow the release timeline of live a little more closely, then rejoin with the main server once all content had been completed. Probably won't be released until well after Velious is finished, however.

Yes this is the Blue Recycle server. It's a progression server that resets after it runs it's course up to, probably, the launch time of Luclin (since we will never see Luclin on this server). So it's about a 3 or so year life before it resets and the characters are copied over to the existing Blue server and everyone is free to start again on the new server restart.

This is exciting. The overly populated newbie areas filled with people KS'ing each others level 1 decaying skeletons. Brings back the joys of the EQ release day. *waxes nostalgic*

Can't wait (no, really, I can't!) :)
