About to get to this part of the Druid epic... does he have a respawn timer (do I need to camp him), and how big of a group(s) do I need to take this beast down?

There is a respawn timer, but he's almost guaranteed to be up. To not make your guildies hate you... verify it's up beforehand. Get a cleric, tank, and 1-2 melee dps. Very easy fight, but has high regen and is spell immune.
