Should I stick with bard?
 

After many rerolls I stuck with bard and got to 51 last night. This is my second level 50 bard and I can easily twist 4 songs, charm, fear kite, dot, heal, etc. But when I went to lower Guk to solo my DE mask I died to the first green I tried to solo and the class felt so weak. PVP feels equally weak as a because I can't kill anyone faster than they can kill me, nor can I outheal their damage, nor can I kite at the edge of range because if i'm in range long enough to dot them then they can still get a spell off (except melee who have no chance outdoors.)

Many people say bards are solid at 60, but that doesn't seem logical. Do I just need better weapons + haste? Is there a better strat for 1v1 pvp against casters when 1-2 spells kill me (despite resists)? Are bards just good selos bots? Don't they get wrecked indoors? Why should I keep playing my bard? I just want a class that can destroy anyone 1v1 as long as I have the skill to do so. A great player with a bad class can do well, but a great player with the best class is almost unstoppable.

Suggestions? I'm always drawn to monk, but they seem so easy to play. Considering necro, wiz, or druid too.

lite solo'd his mask in classic sub 50 and terrible gear. its doable but imo not worth the hastle.

bard is fun for me in groups. otherwise boring. if you want to do shit solo play a druid. its like the bard of casters.

Dunno brah. All classes seem week when Soloing. It's a group game for the most part. Rerolling not going to help.

A good bard is one that selos and only selos w auto following a war or tstaff monk. We don't care that you can 4 twist. We don't care that you are awful melee dmg. We only want your selos and when it misses a tick a falls off, hell hath no fury to the rage that will ensue

No class is a 1v1 god. Every class has it pros and cons

Yeah, and I just realized that i'm missing some important songs since I leveled so fast AE kiting, so that's probably why. Because I remember soloing assassin on the old red box easily. Maybe i'll pick those songs up and see if it helps.

id group a bit before putting any more time into bard. if you dont enjoy grouping reroll imo.

the most annoying thing about bard (and most casters i play) is song swapping (changing spell gems). i hate swapping shit out all the time but shits classic.

Also, if you ae kited most of your levels your defensive skills such as parry, dodge, or whatever a bard gets are probably low. A good bard is very hard to kill, the only banes I can think of would be an enc, or rogue poison if you get close enough to get poisoned. This is outdoors pvp of course.
