Hello there and a couple of questions.

I played EQ from just after launch for a couple of years back on the old Brell Serelis server.

Have long been interested in P99 and I saw today that DBG recognized this as a legal thing now.

I'm wondering if this will impact how you go about getting and installing the game etc.
Have always been shy about trying it because of where you have to go to get the client.

I may just take the plunge anyway because I really do miss the challenge and group dependency of old EQ that you just don't see in modern MMO's.

Two other questions for you guys. Is there any glaring way the game is different from vanilla, and will I find enough people to group with to level up?

Thanks much.

Downloading the client and installing it was easy for me, as i know my way around these things. The home page has a "getting started" link, after you obtain Titanium, the steps are really easy to follow on how to install and set up Project 1999.

The game is trying its best, (from what i know) to keep the classic everquest experience going, and not past that. The xp is the same, grinding, mobs, zones ect ect. Right now, we are in the Kunark expansion, but Velious comes next month. P99 intends to stay at velious, forever.

The server has more than enough people playing for you to find groups. Zones are packed, and leveling spots camped.

I'd definitely take the plunge, you won't regret it. There's a very healthy low level population in most areas... unless you start in Erudin/Qeynos where its a bit "thinner".

Thank you very much friends! Finishing up a work project and will take a look at downloading and getting started in a week or two once I am done.

In a sense there are TOO many people on here as of late. Hard to get a group in the "Good" zones because they are all packed.

When Velious comes out end of next month that problem will probably be solved , at least for a few months lol. :p

It's funny but I'll still probably doing the 50s in KC and Sebilis if people are still there ;)
