I found some kind of suicide cult circle near Freeport.

My guess is that these brave adventurers gathered to face the dangers of the Commonlands but were obliterated by a freak lightning strike in the center of their squad.

GMs summon rotted corpses to EC next to the freeport zoneline when they respond to petitions.

If your character is ever logged on by a GM for whatever reason, you'll be moved there as well.

I liked the lightning theory better.
