Are there any free containers in Neriak?

Back when I used to play Kunark EQ years ago, I thought I remembered there being some NPCs in starting cities that would give you containers as part of quests to collect certain items. New players would then use those containers as "backpacks". Are there any NPC like this in or around Neriak?

There is DE Necro above the Necro guild that starts a fire Beetle quest with a container but to be honest, the best way to get your bag slots full of either small bags (6) slot, or small boxes (8) slot is get your self to or around then INN in NRO and massacre decays. They drop a lot of bags and boxes and on a rare occasion a back-pack. be careful how close you get to the guards if your a certain evil race. Their easily avoided.

Also if your a dwarf, the goblin whelps just outside of Kaladim drop back-packs fairly often. These are the only sure spots I know of. GL

I started out in Neriak with three containers:
  • Yegek B'Larin in the warrior's guild (the arena-type area in the middle) gives you a (small?) bag if you say "Seloxia Punox sent me"
  • Hekzin G`Zule in the rogue guild gives you a small bag if you say "I am interested in joining this house of rogues"
  • Noxhil V`Sek in the necromancer guild gives you a tiny box (so almost nothing fits in it) if you say "Collecting fire beetle eyes?"

Once you hit level 8 though, you can grab a weight-reduction bag (6-slot small bag with 5% reduction) by doing the Fire Goblin Runner quest.

Just try to remember that a small container is not going to fit anything larger than bone chips and spiderling silks.

After selling a stack of Spiderling Silks for 10pp, and buying all my level 4 spells, I splurged and bought 3 large backpacks off a vendor!

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions though!
