When to kill/loot groupmates?
 

Yesterday I was in a full group with a shaman whose actions greatly annoyed me. He would canni down to <10%, risking low hp aggro, and he would run around for minutes at a time, clearly missing lots of med ticks. It wasn't entirely clear what he was doing to help us kill the mobs. He would regularly try to melee (while at low hp and claiming OOM), and every so often would talk about how stoned he was. I sorely wanted him to die.

It would have been so easy. One nuke and done. One dot and watch him panic. I don't think anyone else in the group would have minded. He could only have been bound far away or right next to me, so I probably could have gotten another kill in before he LNS'd.

I didn't do it, and it's been eating me up inside. I dont understand "red etiquette" yet. When/how do you kill idiots you're grouped with? Do you break group first? This rage is threatening to make me explode please help.

degroup + announcement of intent + 10 second head start imo.

Why would I give him a chance to mem flash of light? Why should I even degroup?

Would killing him outright, one spell and done, while grouped be frowned upon? Should I care if it is? Based on ooc, the server seems to have a sense of justice or fair play or something and a long memory; I don't want people who AREN'T idiots or assholes to feel threatened when they group with me, and I don't want to be chased by every white knight on the server for breaking some unwritten rule a week into playing on this server.

What about a nice speech in group chat about why I am doing what I am doing, sent 1 second before my nuke lands?

lvling up a 3rd alt

my group killed a legit afk necro over the course of 2 days in COM, he apologized for afking so much made excuses. Leeched one time for 30 min straight, then again for 25 while he was eating, constant smoke breaks was fd in the wall. We killed him twice, and refused to group with him once. This was a PUG.

In mistmoore had an issues at graveyard, rogue afk non stop, pked him. In group and booted.

Same in Solb, afk rogue, ended up getting dumped.

I'd argue inviting someone into a group and killing them without warning falls under a liberal interpretation of the PNP. I imagine most people would disagree with me though.
